My manager and I enjoyed a great drink at Octo Lounge in Philly the other week. This was interesting because we decided to party outside on the hottest day of the summer in Philadelphia. On top of that this event was sponsored by Don Julio tequila. Heat+humidity+tequila= Death!

Later that evening we got invited to take our partying to Grey Lounge which is located on 2nd and Chestnut Street in Philly. Mind you, it was still the hottest day of the summer and out of all nights the power decides to go out in the lounge! The only reason we decided to party at Grey is because the promoter Michael Morrow invited us with a free bottle of liquor. There was no dj at the venue. Everyone was leaving because of the lack of air conditioner. It got to the point where we ended up leaving without claiming our free bottle service. Now anyone that knows me, knows I love bottle service. Now it had to be very disappointing party for me to leave. Shout out to PhiladelphiaStatus.Com

Over the weekend I decided to do a good deed and take my younger sister to the club. We went to Plush night club to celebrate Rameish’s birthday. Now I haven’t been to Plush in years, and never had any plans on ever returning. But I must say this is the best time I’ve had at a club in a long time. Now yes, this is a venue where you only have to be 18 years of age to enter. But there is a side that is dedicated to the 21 and over crowd. And here is the GREAT part. For 20 dollars you receive OPEN BAR from 930 pm until 12 midnight!! And if things couldn’t get better my boy Tim (which is a bartender from Ms. Tootsies) was the bartender at Plush! I couldn’t ask for anything else. Plush is def the place to goto if you want to hear great music and have a great drink.

This is a photo of my most recent tattoo. I must say that this is my favorite of them all. I stuck with the same guy who did my last 2. He goes by the name of Guss. Let me know if you need work done and I can help you make it happen. The dude is AMAZING. I think I enjoy this tattoo the most because of the message behind it. If you think about what it says, it really is a true statement. And NO Jay-Z didn’t say it. If you can figure out who did feel free to let it be known.

On Friday night I got a chance to sneak out and party w/ my boy Mike. He held a birthday celebration at his lavish (may I say) apartment in Philly.  The drinks were flowing, the people were beautiful, and the music was right. I got a chance to see some friends that I don’t see out often. (If you were at the party keep your comments to yourself lol.) I went to the party with my good friend Kenny. We NEVER party together, so that was something different. I recently cut back my liquor intake. And when I say cut back…. I mean I completely gave it up. But I will have a sip during a celebration here and there. And lets just say I spent 20 minutes outside looking for my car to go home. (Shout out to the WILD people from DC that showed up!) That’s all I’ll say about that one.

I use to LOVE Moet Rose champagne. But after watching the Meek Mill ”Rose Red” music video I am completely turned off. See when I order top shelf champagne, I have hopes of feeling a great deal of class and wealth. The way this luxury beverage is promoted in this music video makes it look like a beverage you consume in the alley with a brown paper bag. I swear Moet needs to file suit against this madness. If you haven’t checked the video out please do so. At the end of the day. Big ups to dude doing his thing though. I believe he haves some star power.

This is as plain and simple as I can be. This is me, and the real me. This is me as I know me. This may not make too much sense, but within this post I’m going to speak about not changing yourself for anyone. It’s something we say everyday as adults, but many of us never practice it. The reason I titled this post, “Move On, Do You” is because I’m mainly speaking about failed relationships, and trying to change yourself for another person. My personal story goes as follow…..

            I was in a wonderful relationship with someone. This truly was the person I feel in love with the most. People say, “there is no such thing as the one” but I beg to differ. At the end of our term I was dumped. Yes that happens in life, but what was the hardest was that I was dumped for another man. That hurts the most, it made me feel less of a man and like I wasn’t good enough. So what did I start doing? Of course I started sending the text messages and emails stating, “I love you and will always love you.” “You will always be the only one for me.” and all that other good bullshit. That failed to work. So what did I try to do next? Of course I tried changing my personality. She wanted a man who didn’t go out as much, partied, read more and can hold a conversation about politics. So I sold my dj equipment and decided to give up on entertainment. I started watching the news and CNN more, and started to try to make conversations about Obama. That didn’t work so what was next? I tried to change my appearance. I tried my hardest to get bigger, joined a gym and started eating healthy foods. I once remember her saying, “I’d love to see you with cornrows.” So of course I started to grow my hair. That didn’t work either. So that left me in a very deep depression. I stopped eating and letting my appearance go. (I didn’t mention that tattoo I got with her name and birthdate on it) I lost a ton of weight to the point where my landlord told me I was getting too thin and I should eat. I did nothing but slept and felt like the lowest person on earth because I wasn’t good enough for this human being. FOR EVERYONE ELSE WHO WENT OR IS GOING THROUGH THAT, ITS BULLSHIT!……… I realized that I was living my whole entire life for someone else, that not only care but didn’t give a damn if I woke up tomorrow or not. I got my act together. i started to do what I loved again. Yes I got back in the gym, yes I continued to eat healthy, and yes I continued to watch CNN. You know why, because all those things were good for me to begin with.

     Whatever flaws and issues you may have for one person, may be golden to the next person. Be you… The true you is the only person your good at being. Yes certain situations in life my change the way we look, talk, and think. But at the end of the day do it for you. I feel 100 percent and I’m writing this post because this is my escapism, and I’d love for someone to read my personal stories and learn, and feel encouraged by it. That situation was a personal situation that required me to grow up and learn. I’m glad I went through it, and even happier I came out of it. Don’t let anyone dictate the person you truly are. Love yourself, love others, and you will be 100 percent successful. It’s designed to work that way. (ps everyone doesn’t need to know everything.)

I attended Lou Williams from the Philadelphia 76ers birthday party over the weekend. It was great. I had my bottle of Nuvo, John had a bottle of Belvedere and we had a great time. Ran into our little road blocks there. But non the less, (and 600 dollars later) we had a pretty decent time. Of course none of the big names that were mentioned on the flyer came through. What else is new with Calcutta Ent.
